NHHO has aimed to launch a project of Rain Water Harvesting (RWH) in Chyangli, Dhuwakot and Gaikhur VDCs of Gorkha as a pilot project. This region is completely dry. People must depend upon monsoon for farming. We believe, it will be the gift for this region. Every stake holder can collect rain water during the rainy season and can use it as per their required. It will help to grow different unseasonable organic vegetables and cash crops and helps to reduce their expanses of green vegetables and supports to maintain their health as well. In the long run it supports to reduce poverty alleviation.
The first Rainwater Harvesting Basin becomes successfull established by instruction of Julia and Niklas from the "Gesellschaft für nachhaltige Entwicklung mbH" .
